The Regional Transportation District
A public agency created in 1969 by the Colorado General Assembly, RTD operates as a public transportation system in a seven-county service area, which includes all of Boulder, Broomfield, Denver and Jefferson Counties, and parts of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties.

RTD’s Mission: “To meet our constituents’ present and future transit needs by offering safe, clean, reliable, courteous, accessible and cost-effective service throughout the district.”
